CORONAVIRUS & NEWBORN BABY PHOTOGRAPHY

Blog

All It’s a subject that’s front and centre right now. We are all hearing so many things about what we should and shouldn’t be doing. ย This blog is not about telling you what to do, you can get all that information from –ย https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-responseย What I want is to re-assure all of my clients that I follow good hygiene practice at all times to keep you and your babies safe, but at this time, I would like to take a moment to re-iterate the most important points and a couple of extra measures that I have put in place for you.

WHAT DO I ALWAYS DO

After every Newborn baby session the things that happen as standard.

  • Blankets, wraps, newborn outfits, muslins that have come in to contact with baby are all washed.
  • I will sterilise with Milton antibacterial surface spray, any props that I’ve used.
  • I will sterilise the baby changing station with Milton spray.

Once a week I will mop all the floors and sterilise all other surfaces.

WHAT HAVE I ADDED TO MY ROUTINE
  • I will sanitise all surfaces after every client. ย This includes door handles, chairs, fridge etc.
  • I will mop all floors using an antibacterial solution.
  • I have removed props such as wicker baskets. These would normally be wiped with a Milton wipe. I am using a wet solution at the moment to ensure every part is thoroughly coated.

WHAT IF I’M POORLY AND HAVE A SESSION BOOKED

if you or any member of your family is feeling poorly, please contact me as soon as possible to re-schedule your session and donโ€™t just turn up anyway; I will offer you a new appointment, please don’t worry about the timing, we can still create a beautiful gallery and images even if baby is a little older. Additionally you will get better photos when your family is healthy and happy! It is far more important to take care of you and your families health.

None of this is has been written to cause concern or panic. The press is doing a good job at that already! but I just wanted to let everyone know that I am mindful and doing my best to be proactive at this time. I will update this post if the situation or government guidelines surrounding covid-19 change. If you are a client, or someone considering booking a session, donโ€™t hesitate to contact meย with any questions.
