HOW IT WORKS

Cake smashes are a really  fun session, full of lot’s of laughter and cake! It’s a fantastic way to  celebrate baby’s first birthday as a family..

We will  start the session by capturing some first birthday portraits, so party dress or bow tie, it’s up to you.

Then it’s cake smash time, you can choose from a handmade birthday cake or cupcake’s.  Some babies prefer the smaller cupcakes and there’s always some to take home, where others will dive straight in to a bigger cake, and some may be a little more cautious, there will be poking, tasting, squishing and sometimes face diving, what ever it is we will capture those moments.

 

After the cake fun we can fill a tub with warm water or if you prefer not to have water we can do that too. Baby gets to clean off, and of course with a little bit of magic bubbles appear.

TO SECURE YOUR SESSION AT THE TIME OF BOOKING YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY A £30 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT, THIS COMES OFF YOUR BALANCE.

EXTREMELY ENJOYABLE

YOUR QUESTIONS

WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK?
Please book in as early as you can as I am incredibly busy with Cake Smash bookings and I will need to order your cake.  I do occasionally have a last minute space become available so as long as we have a minimum of 2 weeks notice for ordering the cake, just call.  Absolutely everything is provided so all you need to bring is the birthday girl or boy!
WHERE DO THE SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
All photography shoots take place in my studio which is in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. I have parking directly outside.  I would advise you to bring a snack in case you get peckish during the shoot, but I always have cold bottled water on hand.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SHOOT?
My cake smash sessions are completely baby led. Some babies will dive in, others need time and patience, and because of that no two shoots are ever the same. I always allow extra time during a cake smash so we are not rushed and this gives plenty of time for baby to settle.  I normally end up making silly noises and playing silly games to help baby relax, so don’t be alarmed!!
HOW DO I VIEW MY IMAGES?
After your session, I professionally hand re-touch all your images to the highest standard. I will then upload your images to a secure online portfolio. All your images are included in your Cake Smash session. And I will let you know when your Luxury USB is ready for collection. If you would like to purchase additional products this is absolutely fine and discounts will be offered for multiple purchases.
